The Lynhow content policy

Our content policy restricts the parts that we are able to produce. We’re unable to to make any of the following:

• Parts subject to export control regulations such as ITAR, EAR beyond EAR 99, or EU Dual Use
• Content that is illegal, offensive, or violates intellectual property rights
• Weapons or parts of weapons

Confidentiality from beginning to end

We take your intellectual property seriously, which is why over 500 companies trust us for their part design and manufacturing needs.

We ensure confidentiality across the entirety of your order. You can find our confidentiality terms in our General Terms of Sale. If you would like some additional reassurance, we would be happy to send you our Non-Disclosure Agreement, which can be digitally signed via a secure link. Please contact your Account Manager or ales@lynhow.com to request our NDA.

To produce your order, Lynhow operates with a global network of Manufacturing Partners. All of our Partners must go through a strict onboarding process, which includes signing up to contractual obligations to safeguard your data. Confidential means confidential from beginning to end.

Encryption & Server Location

We use secure (encrypted) connections for all our customer and manufacturing partner interactions i.e. when any files are transferred.

Our production servers are located in Europe; all digital models and drawings are stored on AWS servers.

Protecting Your Intellectual Property

We fully recognize the importance of intellectual property protection in precision manufacturing. All customer designs, drawings, specifications, and technical data are treated with the highest level of confidentiality and security.

We are committed to ensuring that your intellectual property is never disclosed, misused, or accessed by unauthorized parties.

1. Scope of IP Protection

This policy applies to all customer-provided information, including but not limited to:

• Engineering drawings (2D / 3D CAD files)

• Technical specifications and tolerances

• Product designs and prototypes

• Manufacturing processes and tooling data

• Material specifications

• Business and project-related communications

All information remains the exclusive property of the customer.

2. Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA)

To ensure full confidentiality, we offer and support signing a legally binding Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) before project evaluation or production.

NDA Key Terms:

Customers may provide their own NDA template or request ours for review and signature.

3. Data Security Management Process

We implement strict internal procedures to protect all customer data.

Step 1: Secure Data Receiving

• Files are received via encrypted email or secure transfer platforms

• Access is limited to authorized engineering personnel only

Step 2: Controlled Access Permission

• Role-based access control system (RBAC)

• Only assigned engineers can view project files

• No cross-project data sharing

Step 3: Secure Storage System

• Encrypted storage servers

• Regular backup and redundancy protection

• Firewall and intrusion prevention systems

Step 4: Engineering Use Only

• Data is used strictly for quotation and manufacturing

• No reproduction or redistribution allowed

Step 5: Project Completion Handling

• Files archived securely after project completion

• Retention period controlled by agreement or customer request

• Permanent deletion available upon request

4. Internal Confidentiality Rules

All employees are required to comply with strict confidentiality obligations:

• Mandatory confidentiality agreements for all staff

• Regular IP protection training

• Strict prohibition of external file sharing

• Disciplinary action for any violation

• Controlled access to customer data systems

5. Third-Party Control

We do not disclose customer information to any third party unless:

• Explicit written authorization is provided by the customer

• It is required for approved subcontracted processes under confidentiality agreements

All partners and subcontractors are required to sign confidentiality agreements before involvement.

6. Manufacturing Transparency Without Risk

We ensure transparency in communication while protecting sensitive data:

• Process updates provided without exposing design details

• Inspection reports shared securely with customers

• Production status tracking available upon request

• Secure communication channels for technical discussions

7. Customer Rights

Customers retain full ownership and control of their intellectual property, including:

• Right to request data deletion at any time

• Right to restrict usage scope

• Right to request confidentiality confirmation documents

• Right to audit data handling procedures (upon agreement)
